Hang đá Dak Tuar is located near Dak Tuar waterfall, about 6km from the center of Cư Pui commune, Krông Bông district, Đắk Lắk province. During the years of resistance against the United States, Hang đá Dak Tuar served as the headquarters for the Đắk Lắk Provincial Party Committee and the main military units of the province.

In 1991, Hang Đá Dak Tuar was officially recognized as a historical site. Since then, Hang Đá Dak Tuar has gained popularity and become a prominent destination in the list of Dak Lak tourist attractions. What does Hang đá Dak Tuar offer

Situated in the Chư Yang Sin mountain range, the Dak Tuar stone cave system consists of multiple layers and spaces hidden deep within the mountains, capable of accommodating hundreds of military divisions. During the years of resistance against the United States, this was the provincial headquarters for the Đắk Lắk Provincial Party Committee and the main military units of the province.

Due to the challenging terrain, the Provincial Party Committee and our resistance agencies chose this location as a central base. From here, leaders rallied the solidarity of the ethnic groups for the resistance. Despite numerous attempts by the U.S. Empire, including bombing raids and sweeping operations to destroy our revolutionary base, all of them ended in failure.

In 1965, from the Dak Tuar stone cave, the ethnic people of Krông Bông rose up to eliminate the enemy's grip, liberating a vast area in the district. Subsequently, at this location, the entire province's forces engaged in resistance, completely liberating Buôn Mê Thuột in 1975.
