Theo Decision No. 505/QĐ-TTg, Ngày Chuyển đổi số quốc gia được xác định là ngày 10/10 hàng năm.

Therefore, 2022 marks the first year Vietnam celebrates the National Digital Transformation Day. This reflects the determination of our country in digital transformation and signifies a turning point in this field.

3. Objectives of the national digital transformation

Below are some objectives within the digital transformation roadmap by 2025:

Developing a Digital Government, improving the efficiency of operations with 80% of level-4 online public services provided across various access devices, including mobile devices. Processing 90% of job records at the provincial level; 80% of job records at the district level, and 60% of job records at the communal level on the network environment (excluding job records within the scope of state secrets). Connecting, integrating, and sharing digital data on the Government Reporting Information System for 100% of periodic synthesis reporting regimes and socio-economic statistical reports serving the direction and management of the Government, the Prime Minister.

In terms of digital economic development, enhancing the competitive capacity of the economy, the goal by 2025 is for the digital economy to account for 20% of GDP; the proportion of the digital economy in each industry and field reaches a minimum of 10%; annual labor productivity increases by a minimum of 7%; Vietnam will be among the top 50 countries in information technology (IDI), in the top 50 countries in the competitiveness index (GCI), and in the top 35 countries in innovation (GII).

Regarding the development of the digital society and narrowing the digital gap, the goal by 2025 is to have fiber-optic broadband infrastructure covering over 80% of households, 100% of communes; widespread access to 4G/5G mobile network services and smartphones; the percentage of the population with electronic payment accounts exceeding 50%; striving for Vietnam to be among the top 40 countries in cybersecurity (GCI).
